Hint alternatives: start with your inspection report
If you are comparing Hint alternatives, begin with the decision in front of you: understanding an inspection report, organizing a home record or deciding what to fund next. HomeScore offers a browser-based inspection analyzer, a saved record you can share and App connection setup for compatible AI clients. Hint also reads home documents. The useful comparison is what happens after the upload.

An alternative for the report you already have
A home inspection can leave you with dozens of findings and no clear order for tackling them. HomeScore's inspection analyzer groups the findings and shows priorities and planning cost ranges. Open the analyzer, review the report's findings, and use the result to decide which questions need an inspector or contractor. A cost range is an estimate for planning; it is not a quote or a guarantee about your property.
If you do not have a report, you can still create your saved home record. Add your address and save one major system you can confirm, such as your roof or HVAC. Its age and cost outlook give you a starting point for a question to Jarvis. Keep the original document and confirmed system details together so later decisions have context.
Compare three jobs, not a feature count
First, look at the report output. Can you find the original issue, understand the urgency and identify the next action? Second, look at the record you will keep. Decide which documents and system details you want to return to when you get a quote, plan a replacement or prepare to sell. Third, look at who needs to see that record. A useful summary for an agent may differ from the details a contractor needs.
HomeScore's App has share-link controls for selected home information, including expiration and revocation. Review what a recipient can see before sending the link. This page does not claim that Hint lacks sharing: equivalent link controls were not described in the public pages we reviewed. Ask Hint directly if that capability is decisive for you.
Keep AI setup expectations clear
HomeScore's App provides an authenticated Model Context Protocol (MCP) connection. MCP is a way for a compatible AI client to request authorized information from another service. The App includes setup instructions for clients such as ChatGPT and Claude; the client, account plan and workspace settings determine what is available. Setup may take several steps.
The separate public Home Planner offers general planning tools and is in early testing. It does not read your saved HomeScore home record. We do not describe either experience as a one-click connection or an approved marketplace listing. Check the setup screen before treating an AI connection as part of your daily workflow.
Decide using your own first result
Use the same home question when evaluating each product: what needs attention, what evidence supports it and what is the next practical step? HomeScore's next step is to keep confirmed details in your home record, ask Jarvis a focused question or share selected information with someone helping you. Keep every feature you need, but begin with one outcome you can verify.
Hint's official materials describe a home profile from your address, document reading and guidance for home decisions. Its App Store listing says free to download. HomeScore Free covers up to 3 systems; HomeScore Pro is $14/mo. Compare the current terms alongside the output, rather than treating a download price as the total cost of every service.
Questions before you start
Does Hint read home inspection reports?
Yes. Hint's official website and App Store listing say it reads inspection reports and other home documents. HomeScore also has a browser-based inspection analyzer. Compare the actual output and the next step you need, rather than assuming report reading is exclusive to either product.
How much does HomeScore cost?
HomeScore Free lets you save up to 3 systems. HomeScore Pro is $14/mo. Start free. No card needed to begin. Add a card to start your 30-day HomeScore Pro trial. You won't be charged until the trial ends, then $14/month until you cancel.
Can I share a HomeScore home record?
The signed-in App lets you create a share link for selected home information, set an expiration and revoke the link. Review the content before sharing it. A share link does not mean a buyer, agent, insurer or contractor is a HomeScore partner.
Does HomeScore connect to ChatGPT and Claude?
HomeScore's App provides an authenticated MCP connection and client setup instructions. Availability depends on the client, your plan and workspace settings. This is not a claim of one-click onboarding or marketplace approval. The public Home Planner is a separate service in early testing and does not access saved App records.
Sources and review notes
The comparison uses the official pages linked below and HomeScore's current product implementation. A feature not described in a reviewed source is marked as unconfirmed; it is not scored as missing. This is a HomeScore-published comparison, not an independent product test.
